Rooms and suites, side by side
The hotel publishes four categories, two rooms and two suites. Here is everything it says about them, what it leaves out, and how to choose for a show night.
The numbers the hotel publishes
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa has 150 guest rooms, including 22 suites. Each category has its own page on the hotel site, and each page is short: a size, a sentence or two and a set of photos with captions. We collected all of it below and added the metric equivalent of each size, because many guests think in square metres.
| Category | Size | What the hotel says | Our page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deluxe King | 389 sq ft (about 36 m²) | Ideal for couples or solo travellers | Deluxe King |
| Deluxe Queen | 389 sq ft (about 36 m²) | Accommodates up to four guests | Deluxe Queen |
| Silver Suite | 773 sq ft (about 72 m²) | King-size bed, spacious lounge area | Silver Suite |
| Gold Suite | 825 sq ft (about 77 m²) | Corner suite | Gold Suite |
The general rooms page adds that every room has plush bedding and modern amenities. The suites page calls the Silver and Gold Suites spacious, with refined design and premium amenities. That is the full extent of the official description.
What is not published
We would rather tell you what is missing than fill the gap with guesses. As of 29 October 2026 the hotel does not publish:
- how the 150 rooms split between King and Queen, or how the 22 suites split between Silver and Gold;
- check-in and check-out times;
- bed sizes and the number of beds in a Deluxe Queen, beyond the note that it takes up to four guests;
- view categories or which floors face which way;
- room service hours;
- pet fees — the hotel page only says service animals are exempt from pet fees with valid certification;
- accessible room types or their features.
If one of these matters to you, write it in the notes field of the form. The desk asks the hotel and answers with what it is told, not with what we assume.
Rules that apply to every room
The hotel states that guests must be 19 or older to stay. Guests who appear under the legal age may be asked for two pieces of identification. The gym, Body Rock, is open 24 hours and opens with a room key. There is no pool or spa on the hotel's pages.
The extras you can ask for
Sound of Your Stay. Hard Rock's music programme in Ottawa mentions a curated selection of vinyl and jam sessions with your own guitar. The page does not say whether these come at a cost or how they are delivered, so treat it as something to request, not something guaranteed.
Surprise & Delight. The hotel page describes curated treats ready on arrival, such as wine and bonbons, ordered in advance from a menu the hotel publishes as a PDF (the version we saw is dated May 2026). If you are planning a birthday or an anniversary around a show, mention it in your request.
How to choose for a show night
For two people, the Deluxe King is the obvious pick and the least likely to be the room you regret. For three or four friends sharing, the Deluxe Queen is the only standard room the hotel describes as taking four guests; confirm the bed layout first. The suites make sense when the room is part of the evening: a place to gather before doors, or a celebration where you want space and a proper bathtub afterwards. Both suites show a bar area in the hotel's photo captions.
One practical tip: when you write to us, name the show and the date. Hotels near a venue fill unevenly, and a sold-out Saturday is a different request from a quiet Tuesday. Telling the desk the reason for the trip helps it ask the right questions.
