Privacy notice
We collect only what a room request needs, use it only for that request, and do not sell it.
What we collect
When you send a room request: your name, email address, phone number (optional), dates, number of guests, room preference, your notes, the page you sent it from, and your consent. Our server also records the technical details any web server sees, such as your IP address and browser, for security and to stop spam.
Why
To answer your request: to ask the hotel or a booking partner about availability and rates for your dates, and to email or call you with the answer. We do not use your details for newsletters or advertising, and we do not sell them.
Who sees it
Our desk. When you ask us to check a room, we share the details needed for that check — name, dates, guests, room and relevant notes — with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa or the booking partner we ask. Requests are received on the server that hosts this site in Toronto, Canada, and copied to our desk's internal request system, which runs on a server in London, United Kingdom.
Google Maps
Some pages include a map served by Google Maps. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies under its own privacy policy. On the front page the map loads only after you press the button. On the route guide it loads when you scroll down to it. Links marked “Open in Google Maps” and “Directions” take you to Google's own site.
Analytics and cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. If that changes, this notice will change first.
How long we keep it
We keep request details only as long as we need them to answer the request and keep booking and commission records, and no longer than 24 months. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent and ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
