Groups, meetings and weddings
The hotel markets its spaces for weddings, galas, receptions and company events. Here are the published capacities, and the one rule every planner needs to hear first.
The spaces, as published
| Space | Size | Banquet | Cocktail | Suggested use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hard Rock Live | 23,000 sq ft | 935* | 2,200 | Weddings, galas, large events |
| The Joint | 4,700 sq ft | 150 | 400 | Receptions, themed parties |
| LIVE Pre-Function | 4,000 sq ft | 100 | 200 | Ceremonies, cocktail hours |
| Council Oak Steaks & Seafood | 4,890 sq ft | 70 | — | Group dining, rehearsal dinners |
| Council Oak Private Dining | — | 16–22 | — | VIP or intimate dinners |
* The Hard Rock LIVE page gives seated banquets for up to 800. Both figures are on official pages; the event team's proposal settles it.
The 19+ rule, for planners
The property states that you must be 19 or older to access it, including the hotel, the restaurants and Hard Rock LIVE. For a wedding that means no children, no flower girl, no ring bearer, and no younger cousins at the reception. Plan the guest list around it before you sign anything.
Room blocks
The event page says guests stay where the party is, with 150 rooms including 22 suites, and mentions group rates, room blocks, bridal preparation spaces and VIP upgrades. It does not publish group rates. Catering is customised in a proposal rather than sold from a published package list.
The hotel's inquiry form covers business meetings, receptions, annual conventions, product launches, team-building events and group dining, and asks for the event type, the number of people and the date.
Where our desk fits — and where it does not
We do not sell event space, catering or contracts. Those go through the hotel's own event team, using the form on its event booking page or the main number, 1-613-822-8668. Where we can help is with guests' rooms: if you are a group of friends going to a show, or a handful of wedding guests who want rooms on the same night, send one request with the number of rooms and dates, and we will ask the hotel or a booking partner what can be held.
Ideas that fit the property
- A company night out at a show: dinner in Council Oak, seats at Hard Rock LIVE, rooms so nobody drives.
- A rehearsal dinner: Council Oak Private Dining for 16 to 22, with the wedding party's rooms upstairs.
- A milestone party: The Joint for up to 400 standing, and a Gold Suite for the hosts.
