December to February is when a room in the same building as the show matters most. Here is the season as it was listed on 29 October 2026.

December

The early December listings at Hard Rock LIVE are The Trews with Wide Mouth Mason on Thursday 3 December, Colin James on Friday 4 December, Little River Band on Saturday 5 December and Amanda Marshall with Kellie Loder on Tuesday 8 December. For the Tuesday show, remember that Council Oak serves dinner only from Wednesday to Saturday: eat at Hard Rock Cafe or YOUYU.

New Year's Eve

On Thursday 31 December 2026 the hotel lists its New Year's Eve 2027 Disco Fever Party, with free live entertainment at Council Oak Lounge and Hard Rock Cafe and a countdown to midnight. A free party with a bed upstairs is a simple New Year's Eve; send the room request early.

Two weekends stand out for a two-night stay: 22–23 January and 12–13 February, each with shows on both the Friday and the Saturday.

The city in the cold

The Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, becomes an outdoor skating rink in winter when conditions allow. Winterlude, the federal winter festival, takes place in late January and February; the 2027 dates were not confirmed by the organiser when we checked. Both are downtown, about 20 km from the hotel by road. Our weekend plan covers getting there.

Practical winter notes

  • Leave the heavy coat in the room before the show. It is the most underrated benefit of staying on site.
  • Model drive times on our pages assume no traffic and dry roads. In snow, add a margin, especially to and from downtown.
  • The shuttle to Leitrim Station keeps its timetable gaps in winter too: no runs at 11 AM, 5 PM and 10 PM.
  • Two EV chargers serve the whole property. In winter, do not count on a free one without asking.
