Wood River High School Athletics Hall of Fame Inductees Announced | Sports
Wood River High School will induct nine individual athletes, four coaches and members of four teams into its Athletic Hall of Fame at halftime of its home football game against Canyon Ridge on Friday, September 2.
New members include the 2020, 2021, and 2022 Hall of Fame classes. The inaugural Wood River Hall of Fame class was announced in June 2020, but the official induction ceremony and subsequent class selections have been announced. delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Individual athletes Cory Goicoechea, a two-time state wrestling champion and athlete in three sports, led the way in the most recent introductory classes, along with Natalie Kuhl Green, the school’s all-time leading scorer in women’s basketball.
