Due to the current COVID situation, they are currently only taking a waitlist fee of $ 50. Full payment will be required in the spring.
If you are new to racing and want to run solo, you must first get approval from YRQ. To do this, you need to send them a brief description of your paddling and wilderness skills and experience so that they can decide whether or not you are safe in the northern bush in poor conditions when you are exhausted. Documents can be sent to [email protected]
They will require proof of vaccination for all paddlers and their support crews. You will need to declare that you are vaccinated when you sign a waiver and will be required to present vaccination certificates when checking in in Whitehorse.
Meanwhile, the classic fall canoe race was held last Saturday on the McClintock River on the last Saturday in September, as usual.
The race was not only fast, very compact bet. From the moment the first boat was in sight, there was no gap until the last boat, and it was only a few minutes. The next canoe race will take place in the spring.
