White Rock Paddle Company is ending operations after 13 seasons on White Rock Lake. The owners say the new “supplier criteria” make it difficult to compete “as a small business”.

In a note posted on Facebook, the kayak rental company thanked customers and said they were honored and grateful for the time they had.

Owners Angeline Koh and Amy Ebert say they will continue to work ‘real jobs’ in the neighborhood, which includes project management for Koh and real estate for Ebert, who says in the notice she will be an agent real estate in Lakewood / Lake Highlands Ebby Office of Halliday.

This weekend, October 1 and 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., White Rock Paddle Co. will be at the lake selling gear and equipment “as is,” according to the website.

We’ve reached out to the owners in hopes of learning more about these prohibitive “vendor criteria” and will add to this post as we learn more.
