Joseph Thomas Tome, 77, from Warren, died on Sunday May 23, 2021 at Warren General Hospital.
Joe was born September 5, 1943 in Warren, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Jay W. and Frances E. Plunkett Tome.
Joe was a permanent resident of Warren and a graduate of Warren Area High School in 1961. He served in the US Air Force from 1962 to 1966. He was employed for 23 years as a data processing supervisor at the National Forge Company, and with Blair Corporation for 11 years, from which he retired.
Joe loved to read, he loved sports, and was a die-hard Red Socks and Detroit Lions fan. He especially enjoyed his family and friends and will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Gerardi Tome, whom he married on May 15, 2003; one son, Kevin M. Tome and his wife, Heather of Youngsville, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Lisa Tome Wright and her husband, Jeffrey of Columbus, Ohio; two step-sons: Matthew and Ryan Willis, both of Warren, Pa /; one brother, Terry Tome of Hamilton, Ohio; four grandchildren: Samantha Shepard (Jeremiah), Sarah Tome, Zoe Wright and Max Wright; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his brothers; Byron “Red” Tome and James Tome; and one sister, Jeane Fredericks.
Services for Joe will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests that the memorial nations be made at Paws Along the River, 212 Elm St, Warren, PA 16365.
