The current southerly swell is expected to peak today before gradually easing through Monday. With current buoy data, surf along the south-facing shores should be just below the 8ft high surf advisory criteria for today, but we will be monitoring the situation closely. There will be other small swells reaching our south-facing shores for the remainder of the week, preventing the surf from staying flat. A weak to moderate northwest swell will arrive today, peaking on Monday. A slightly smaller pulse will arrive on Tuesday, a peak on Tuesday evening, and another swell of a similar size will arrive from Thursday evening through Friday evening. With the trade winds expected to be lighter in the next few days, look for surfing along the east-facing coasts a foot or two less than it currently is. The strengthening of the exchanges from Friday to Saturday will stimulate surfing along the coasts exposed to the east.
