Providence kayak company is expanding. The company is now in its fifth season and is preparing to move into a second location.

The second site will operate at the Boathouse inside Lincoln Woods State Park, in Lincoln, RI.

With the addition of twenty-five single and tandem ocean kayaks to their fleet, Providence Kayak has the ability to provide a range of options on the 128 acres of Olney Pond in Lincoln Woods.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the State of Rhode Island and the Department of Environmental Management to expand our operations into Lincoln Woods,” said Kristin McGinn, co-owner of Providence Kayak.

“Making our waterways accessible to all and enabling people to enjoy water sports here in Ocean State is our number one goal. This additional location allows us to do this for people who want a more rural setting just outside of downtown Providence, ”she added.

In addition to walk-in rentals, Providence Kayak offers reservations on providencekayak.com for those who wish to set a specific date and time in advance. Rentals at Lincoln Woods are available 7 days a week through Labor Day, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays, and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekends. Single and tandem kayaks are available in 45 minute or 90 minute time slots.

In addition to rentals, the company also offers tours of the Providence waterways at their Providence location.

Visit Providence Kayak at the Providence Marina at 15 Bridge Street, Providence, RI or the Boathouse at Lincoln Woods State Park, Lincoln, RI from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
