Wchicken we spoke to Amanda Huff last month, the motivated and versatile musician from Milwaukee spoke about his recent release with You Win !!! and his double The troublemakers EP with Vincent Van Great, and she also hinted at new collaborations on the horizon soon. One of those projects Huff has provided the voice for is an intriguing new indie hip-hop duo who recently released their impressive debut EP.

This duo is Reality show, a group made up of turntable / producer GetMoses and lyricist / singer Slang Troubadour. The duo first met at The Uptowner a few years ago, where GetMoses was the DJ for an open mic party. After a few sessions, the chemistry was evident and GetMoses and Slang Troubadour began to write and record material together. The self-produced and self-registered product of their efforts is The zapping, a five-track EP that showcases the young project’s production prowess and penchant for positive, fun material.

The zapping starts with “Tobey Maguire”, which could previously be heard in an ambitious and enjoyable clip RealityTV was released via Higher Education Records in September. Huff’s contribution can be heard on the silky smooth “Winter Jazz” and Mic Crawf and Sleepy intervene on the infectious EP “Congratulations”. Check-in in about 17 minutes, The zapping quickly made a great impression and was excited to hear more about this beginner rap duo soon. You can stream the EP almost anywhere you get music, and you can see RealityTV play at the Cactus Club Wednesday December 8.
