Capital City Kayaks offers an adventure for July 4th

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – If you’re looking to relax with a view for the July 4th weekend, there’s an exciting adventure in the Jackson subway area.
Kayaks of the capital was launched in 2014 by Chris Lockhart.
“I’ve done a lot of fishing and paddling in the area, and all my friends have always wanted to join us, but they never had their own kayak. So it went from me with a boat to two boats, and it just kept growing from there, ”he explained.
Kayaking is a refreshing and fun way to exercise while taking in the beauty of the local lakes and rivers.
“Just being able to go out, explore these green spaces, explore the water and have a look at the natural side of the city, because it is there, hidden behind the trees.
If you’re worried about inexperience, Lockhart said you shouldn’t be. Adventure is for everyone.
“The biggest fear a lot of people have is’ Oh, Chris! What if I freak out? ‘ Now you would have to do a lot of rocking to fall off that boat. “
By booking a session, you get a single kayak, paddle, life jacket, and practical instructions. Tandem kayaks are available on request and a guided adventure lasts up to two hours.
To make a reservation, you can send an SMS to 601-953-7615 with your group size, name and dates of interest. If the weather is nice and a session is available, you will have a great experience right here in the capital.
